Whilst we do not deliver crisis support services at Our Town Cummins, we have made connections with lots of great people and agencies who do. We sometimes hear how challenging it can be to understand where to start.
So, with this in mind we are happy to be a listening ear for any community member and where you think you might need or want a clinical service we are happy to support you to find the right fit.

We are not the experts in alcohol minimisation techniques, but from our research in this space we have found some great tips that might be helpful for you to try.
Plan ahead—pack only a set number of drinks in your esky, or take limited cash to the pub so you know when to stop.
Let family and friends know so they can support and help keep you accountable.

Having alcohol-free days during the week. Make plans for Sunday to stay motivated, and focussed on your goals.
Surround yourself with people who respect your goals, doing more activities that don’t have an alcohol focus. This can be anything you’re interested in and enjoy – such as exercise, being in nature or a creative hobby
Sober curious is about choosing to steer clear of alcohol for personal or wellbeing reasons. It’s a chance to get curious about why you drink, and to reflect on how alcohol fits into — and affects — your life.
Cutting back on drinking has great physical and mental health benefits and taking the first step is something to be extremely proud of.
The local Cummins pub also offers 0% and low-alcohol options, so you can enjoy the taste without the hangover.
