The Community Connections Program sits at the heart of Our Town Cummins and aims to create strong bonds and social involvement in our community. By encouraging participation, we want to build a lively environment where everyone feels appreciated and involved. Our goal is a connected community where loneliness decreases, participation is encouraged, and everyone’s strengths stand out. Join us on this journey to a more connected community where everyone finds their place and purpose!

  • Nature's Curiosities

    6:30pm @Village - first Monday of the month

    Nature’s Curiosities is a relaxed and welcoming space to explore the wonders of the natural world with local science enthusiast, Kellie. Whether it’s counting lizards, swapping stories, or sharing your latest photos and questions, each session is a chance to slow down, connect with nature, and dive into the joys of citizen science. Curious minds of all ages are welcome – come along and discover what’s out there!

  • Walking Group

    8:45am @Cummins Oval - Every Tuesday

    The walking group is a friendly and inclusive way to boost both physical health and mental wellbeing. Walking together not only gets us moving, but also encourages social interaction and emotional support. It’s a simple, low-cost activity that promotes connection, reduces stress, and improves mood—all while enjoying the outdoors and each other’s company.

  • Mums & Bubs

    9:30am @Village- Every Tuesday & Wednesday

    Mums & Bubs offers a warm, supportive space for parents, carers, and their little ones to come together, connect, and grow. It provides babies the opportunity to interact, learn from one another, and begin developing early social skills. At the same time, it gives mums a chance to share experiences, build friendships, and support each other through similar stages of parenthood—making it a valuable part of both baby development and parental wellbeing.

  • Games in the Afternoon

    1pm @Village - Every Wednesday

    Card afternoons are a great chance to bring along your favourite games, pick up some new ones, and enjoy a relaxed time with others in the Cummins community. It’s a fun and welcoming way to connect with different people over a bit of friendly competition—everyone’s welcome!

  • Embrace Empower & Thrive

    12:30pm @Village- 1st & 3rd Friday of the month

    Embrace, Empower & Thrive is a space created by those with lived experience of poor mental health to come together and explore all things wellbeing. It’s an opportunity to share, learn, and discover practical tools to support your mental and emotional health—think meditation, journaling, workshops and more. Whether you're just starting your wellbeing journey or looking to build on it, this is a supportive and inspiring place to grow together. Join the movement!

  • Coffee Cake & Connect

    10am @Village- 2nd Friday of the month

    Coffee, Cake & Connect is a relaxed and inviting get-together for people of all ages to enjoy a cuppa, a sweet treat, and some good conversation. It’s a simple yet meaningful way to connect with others in the community and share stories, laughs, and great company. There’s always a warm seat and a friendly face waiting!

  • Village Arts

    6pm @Village- last Thursday of the month

    Village Arts is a creative space where community members can come together to explore and express themselves through art. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just looking to try something new, Village Arts offers a welcoming environment to connect, create, and be inspired. It’s all about fostering creativity, building community, and celebrating the joy of making art together.

Our Giving Village

Know someone who's having a rough time but you're unsure how to lend a hand? We've got you covered! With Our Giving Village, you can nominate a community member for a care pack to meet their needs.

This initiative is all about community spirit, created by our locals for our locals, with a big shout-out to our partners: Empowering Lower Eyre SPN and Community Bank Cummins, Tumby Bay, Cleve, and Wudinna districts.

A small, thoughtful gesture or gift can really brighten someone's day!

Hotdesks

We heard that the demand for flexible workspaces is a challenge in our community, especially for those studying, working from home, or on committees. That's why we're thrilled to offer hotdesking weekly from Monday to Wednesday.

A change of scenery can significantly boost your productivity, helping you stay motivated while reducing home distractions. Plus, you’ll have access to shared equipment and can bounce ideas off of our team of innovators!
