Through Deep Listening….

At Our Town Cummins, we have taken the time and care to train all of our dedicated staff in the art of how to hold a safe and welcoming space for individuals in our community who are in need of a compassionate listening ear.

We believe that everyone deserves a moment to be heard, understood, and valued, and our team is here to ensure that those moments are available to everyone. If you or someone you know needs a chat reach out to Mick, our Peer Connector.

With navigating Resources…

Helping individuals find the right resources such as support groups, or community services is crucial. Sometimes, the maze of information can feel daunting, and without help it can feel overwhelming.

Ways, we can help you with this:

Advocacy: Acting as an advocate for those who may struggle to voice their needs or concerns. This might involve liaising with services or rallying for specific mental health resources in Cummins.

Check-in System: By establishing a follow-up system, we can help keep community members feeling supported. Regular check-ins can ensure that no one feels like they’re floating aimlessly but rather have a support anchor.

Group Support: Engaging in peer-led groups where individuals can share experiences, challenges, and triumphs. Fostering a sense of belonging. It’s a space for collective healing and growth. Join our Embrace, Empower and Thrive movement as we learn new ways to build our mental health muscles by testing and trying new ideas.
